1st Christmas Program and Meeting with Santa!

I felt the need to share some pictures of our little guy from a function they had at our daycare, Dylan's first Christmas program! How fun is that? Well, lets just say we showed up late to his first function, because the dude decided to protest that we not leave the house until he ate (even though it had only been right at about 3 hours...we know the chunky monkey can go longer).

We arrived to kids galore and some were happy and excited to have on there self made costumes, while others decided to be belting out their frustrations. It was fine, we were the last one's to go up on stage while they played "Away in a Manger", and I was to hold him while daddy took pictures.

Afterwards we got to hang out with Dylan's two most favorite people, besides mommy and daddy, of course!

And he had his first encounter with Santa Clause. It was definitely the set him down for 5 seconds and snap the photo as fast as you can, then mommy to the rescue. The first few moments he didn't know what to think, then yes...we were the one's with a screaming child.

We decided to let him get a little bit more used to Santa after the first hand off, tha way when we take our "1st Christmast picture with Santa" he will be well prepared.

While we were there, Dylan decided to finally show his pearly whites! I have been waiting to capture a photo of his cute, but hurtful teeth! Of course, you can only see the bottom two, but the top ones aren't too far behind.

It's snowing...???!!!

Ok, so pardon me but I am a bit behind on posting from earlier this month. So bare with me, there have been many firsts for Dylan so far this month, and well it is almost over. But I felt I needed to share them with you, as they have all been too exciting and unique in there own little ways.

So...yes, on Dylan's 8 month birthday it snowed! I couldn't believe it! I of course, was at home sick all day. So when I woke up to the news at 4 o'clock and they said it was going to snow, I was flabergasted! No litterally, I walked outside 5 mintues later and sure enough, there was sleet/snow.

As the snow continued to come down at a pretty rapid pace, I knew we had to get pictures of this "first" for Dylan (we all know it only snows about every 10 years in Houston). So we bundled Dylan up, in a jacket we hadn't planned to use until we go to Tahoe in March, and went outside to see history in the making...

He wasn't quite sure what to make of it, so he just sat still and wouldn't move. Yes it is a bit big, but it definitely did its job of keeping him warm!
As the snowflakes hit his face he would gasp and hold his breath. And continue to watch every snowflake fall to the ground. It was so neat to see the concentration in his eyes as he wasn't sure what to make of it. Deifnitely a fun experience with Dylan and his "first" look at snow!

Music to my ears...

I have to say this little boy of ours is so precious and adorable and well...this morning he was just as sweet as can be. On a morning when both mommy and daddy are sure glad it is Friday, (not sure if it is the crummy weather but we are all feeling a big sluggish) out comes the babble of "Ma Ma"! It's like music to my ears! Of course he has said it before but its been a good 2 weeks since I have heard those sounds out of his mouth. He loves to babble "Da Da" a whole lot more than "Ma Ma", which I am fine with. But when you haven't heard it in two weeks, it sure is a nice sound to wake up to!

It's been a long time coming...FINALLY!

Ok, finally we have a blog! I am so excited, I can't wait to post all the new and exciting things our little angel has been doing. But first I need to thank my husband. For not only being a fantastic, fun loving new dad, but he is a tremendous husband! He always puts everyone first, mainly me, and never stops to think about himself. (I have to remind him to do that at times). But thanks to him we have this wonderful newly designed blog!

For our anniversary, he had contacted Blogalicious Designs to set up and design a blog for me (us). After months of hearing me say I want one, but don't have time and all of our friends getting online to create these wonderful memories...he took it into his own hands and on the morning of our 4 year anniversary I had a surprise email from Blogalicious Designs. I was ecstatic to get things going, I couldn't even concentrate at work that day. All I wanted to do was get everything to Staci and Stephanie as fast as I could. Well, days turned into weeks and then almost a month goes by and finally....we are up and running. By all means not because of the blogalicious girls that set up our blog (they were so responsive and on the ball ready to get going), I couldn't keep my head and mind straight with all that had been going on in our lives. With a combination of our Anniversary, my Dad's birthday, Thanksgiving, a layoff at work, sick baby, sick mom, Christmas shopping and normal day to day life with an 8 month old, I simply couldn't find enough time in the day to get them what they needed. But...enough of my drama and excuses, we love the setup and we can't wait to get blogging!

With that said, if you need or are interested in having a makeover for your blog, contact them...you won't be disappointed!

And Finally...thanks to my sweetheart, for being the loving and caring person he is! You mean the world to me and I count my blessings everyday that I found you, oh so many years ago!
