Finally...I think it is out of his system!

So after a few days on benadryl the rash (from the allergic reaction) didn't seem to be getting any better. I chatted with the doctor and he said to back off the benadryl that it had to be a viral rash. Well, by the time it had gotten to be 24 hours off of it, is about the time daycare was calling letting me know that he wouldn't stop scratching his face, ears, etc.


I called the doctor, luckily he was on call, and he said to start the benadryl again. He said it is an allergic reaction and it is just going to have to run its course of how long it will be in his system (which is 14 days).

Finally by this past weekend, 12 days to the 14 day mark, the irritation had gone down and he was not itching as much. I have to say that we have hit that 14 day mark and he is SOoooo much better. Whatever he is allergic to, was definitely potent. We sure as heck won't be giving that to him again. No thank you!
