Or maybe Pablo Picasso? Not sure who this little guy wants to be, but I do know one thing he definitely had a different idea about he wanted to paint than what mommy had in mind! With all that's going on this year, we decided to home make our Mother's Day presents.

Prepared and ready with all of our supplies and the lil guy in the high chair outside (it was a nice evening) we (one by one) gave him a sheet of paper and put finger paint on his hands to make hand print flower petals. Well...for some reason we have a child that does not like to get dirty! He didn't want anything to do with the paint that was on his hands. He would take one hand to wipe off what was on the other. Or better yet, wipe it on his face, stomach or legs!
It ended up being a mess, but was quite entertaining. Before long he was hitting the paper which was splattering paint everywhere...and swirling it around on the paper. Needless to say, the oh so cute hand print petal shaped flower I had envisioned...was nothing more than a mixtures of red, blue, green and yellow. And like that of him on his birthday with his cake he eventually was so mad that he wanted out of his high chair. He would make squinted faces, inspect the paint that was left on his hands or try to turn around and climb out.
After all that, the moment he could get his little feet on the ground and in the grass...he was a happy camper. Next time maybe we will try to just lay it on the ground and let him have at it?!
All in all, it was fun and entertaining and he got to be creative. I am not sure if the paintings look like that of Picasso or Starry night by Van Gogh...but they turned out pretty cute and unique to say the least.

Here is an adorable picture of him, pondering and thinking, after all the madness. Instead of posting a picture of his pictures, I think an actual picture of him covered in paint is cuter!
