Mr. Independent

Ok, just a short note about our little Mr. Independent. Lately, eating has to be on his terms and in his hands...well he would much rather feed himself.


Here's the scenario:

Mama or Dada trying to feed him with a spoon...NO Go! We get a fussy, squirmy child in a high chair with no where to go.


Give him a sippy cup with water or juice...it gets thrown on the floor.


Give him snacks he can pick up himself...you get a somewhat content talking toddler.


But wait! We aren't going to let the child go to sleep hungry or filling up on not so healthy snacks...Ahhhh plan B!


Follow through with a utensil he can hold himself, and food on the tray that he can attempt to eat...SUCCESS a happy and content toddler that now all of the sudden wants to eat.

Mmmm!




Oh by the way...did I mention I am so proud of our little boy...he absolutely loves fruits and veggies! Woo hooo! I sure hope that pallet stays!
