So now it is just all part of the game...lets see if I can step on it to get me higher...or for the simple fact that it is fun to stand on something that makes me taller! Well, here is the dude being rather daredevil-ish on the couch with Daddy. And see what I mean about stepping on other things? Standing on the couch or ottoman isn't good enough...we need to stand on top of an item on top of the ottoman! Yikes! Lets just say my heart dropped a few times but Daddy was there to protect him...and of course he thought it was all way too funny!
Lets not forget about talking on the phone either! He loves the telephone, cell phone, fax phone...anything that is shaped or looks like or sounds like a phone, he wants it! His besides my cell phone, is the fax phone that is in the office. If you can't find D most of the time he is in the office pressing buttons, with the phone on his shoulder and then his hands on his hips like he is having a long drawn out conversation. Hence the back of the head in these photos! It's the cutest. Needless to say we are trying to get him to get on the phone anytime the grandparents call to get him use to hearing and talking to the other "end".
And yet, the newest excitement is the juke box that I think he forgot we listened too when he was only months old. We pulled it out of his closet one day to change up the sounds at bedtime, from his lovely lullaby bear to something more like the lullabies of Coldplay. Then we broke out his CD's of good ole fashion toddler tunes. Oh boy, its the best entertainment for him and well...us! He's always been somewhat of a dancer when he hears music, but more of clapping hands. Now it is full on deep breaths of excitement, followed by spinning, bouncing, jabbering, fist pumps and of course clapping! Today he thought it was the greatest when Daddy and Mommy joined in on the fun and then the dogs...he was in heaven! He pretty much knows how to work it and always turns it on with 3 clicks of the play/pause button. Why 3? Anyway...it's pretty cute and these are really the only photos I have captured of this new found attraction.
What will it be next?
