He had figured out how to open any cabinet door for a few weeks now. But the fun was just that, opening and then working his way around the door to shut it again. Well...tonight was the night he decided to look inside the cabinet and pull whatever he could grasp onto, out. And that just happened to be a pot with a lid, and let me tell you, what a sound that was when it hit the tile floor! So, to be precautious we put the kitchen rug underneath him and decided to let him have at it and see and do what his little heart desires.
It was hilarious! He didn't make it too far, only pulled down two pots at the most. But let me tell you, that one pot with the lid provided about 10-15 minutes of entertainment. Pulling on, then off, then flipping it upside down, then banging on it, then hitting the floor, then flipping over the pot...and the list goes on. Sure enough I had the camera (video and still) rolling almost the entire time. It was great! We couldn't catch his attention for the life of us, he was so into his "NOISE".
So, it looks like daddy has a task at hand...putting cabinet latches on all cabinets but the two that are his...because shortly thereafter he found my hair products in the bathroom.
Another discovery made this week...drawers in the pantry that have items that he can pull out and put back in. Now, any time the door is open to our pantry he just crawls right over to the wonderland of objects and starts investigating. Well the past two nights, he goes straight for the drawers and pulls himself up. His favorite is the 2nd drawer where all of his baby food jars/canisters are located. Sure enough he goes straight for the glass bottles (needless to say I have now moved those).
Tonight I decided to let him just have at it, much like the pots and pans. He had pulled almost every canister of baby food out of that drawer. He would grab one, pull it out, sit down then try to stick it in another drawer and then continue with the process all over again. By the time daddy got home, he had food all over the place and could care less that he just walked in the door. There were way too many other things to be focused on.
I sure wish I knew what was going through his mind through all of this...imagination is endless!
