Mom...look at me!

So we had just finished dinner and we were cleaning up the kitchen...all the while the dude decided he was going to scrounge around his high chair with Gunnar and clean up the mess he had made. The next thing I know, I couldn't see him. Well...he was using the chairs under the table to walk along, instead of crawl! He was pretty proud of himself. I think he is really starting to like the idea of walking as opposed to crawling.

But his curiosity gets the best of him. Twice today you could hear him but couldn't find him...well he did it once to daddy and then to mommy when she got home...he was underneath the dining room table chairs! I guess it is something new that he thinks is very much fun...kind of like his very own hideout. He knows he can't fit very well but he makes it work to his advantage. It's quite humorous!

Well, then there is the ever famous random items that he has become attached to. Most kids it is a toy or stuffed animal but for our little one they are household items. We all know he has had an obsession with the microwave...but that has slowly faded...then it was his toothbrush. He would carry that thing everywhere with him and not let go. Then came the bottle brush...in which when you would ask him to brush his hair, he would use the bottle brush. He loves his spoons and forks, but lately it is his plastic golf clubs Those go everywhere and anywhere...and of course watch out because he gets kind of wild when swinging them around. I never knew one would find such enjoyment in such a simple "toy". He has grasped the idea that you need to hit the ball with them. And loves to giggle at mommy when she makes it in the cup, of course he attempts but well for a 1 year old hand eye coordination isn't fully there yet...yet!
